Meet our Melasma 4 Serum: The Ultimate Answer to your Hyperpigmentation Woes
Do you wake up every day wishing those pesky brown spots would JUST disappear? Do you long to have that flawless complexion you once had, maybe back in high school? Then our Melasma 4 Serum is the PERFECT choice for you!
The best part about this serum is that it addresses most hyperpigmentation concerns like freckles, age spots, post acne hyperpigmentation, and superficial hyperpigmentation. While other lightening products might be effective in fighting one form of hyperpigmentation, they might not be suitable for other types. Throw in different skin types and the effectiveness of those skin-care products quickly goes down south. Our serum has stood to the test and battled against all forms of hyperpigmentation. It’s unique 4-ingredient composition makes it an EXCELLENT choice for even stubborn hyperpigmentation. How does it work? Well, the answer lies in its ingredients, the magic four being: Kojic Acid, Lactic Acid, Hydroquinone and Glycolic acid.
What are the ingredients?
In our lightening serum, Kojic Acid and Hydroquinone work harmoniously to HALT the over production of melanin (the main culprit). This action helps to lighten up darker areas, even skin tone and prevent against further damage.
Now, the glycolic acid and lactic acid work together to exfoliate dead dull skin, bringing newer and healthier skin to the surface. This brightens up your overall complexion for that GLOW you’ve been longing for. The combined effect is SURREAL and our customers have proven its effectiveness with their numerous comments, pictures and feedback.

How will the Ingredients Benefit You?
Here is a detailed breakdown of the main ingredients and how they work.
- Kojic Acid- When Malting rice is produced, Kojic acid is obtained as a byproduct. However, I will spare the technical details of its manufacture and rather focus on the benefits of Kojic Acid for your skin. As you may know, melanin is the main culprit behind the formation of pigments. Melanin, in turn, is produced by an enzyme which is known as Tyrosinase. Therefore, as you might guess, stopping the formation of the latter will prevent the production of the former. As proven by research, this is exactly what Kojic acid is famous for. By cutting the supply line of copper – the substance which produces Tyrosinase, Kojic Acid hampers the production of melanin. Consequently, with no production of melanin, the free radicals aren’t able to produce pigments on your skin.
- Glycolic Acid- While you might be already familiar with glycolic acid – here is our SECRET to such effective exfoliation in our products. The majority of cosmetic companies use glycolic acid which is synthetically produced. However, here at ASDM Beverly Hills, we use glycolic acid which is naturally derived from cane sugar. It has equal the strength as synthetic glycolic acid, but without the oxidizing hazards. Glycolic acid helps to remove the dead cells from your skin. If present in your skin, these cells reduce the absorption properties. Therefore, no matter how many beauty products you apply, your skin will become non-receptive to them. Consequently, by removing these dead skin cells – and substituting them with new, fresh ones, glycolic acid will bring brightness to your face.
- Hydroquinone- Hydroquinone is considered the primary topical ingredient for inhibiting melanin production. Hydroquinone is a strong inhibitor of melanin production, meaning that it prevents skin from making the substance responsible for skin color.
- Lactic Acid- Similar to glycolic acid, lactic acid helps to renew and refresh your skin by removing dead and dull skin on the surface. This action not only helps to brighten your skin tone, but it also helps to strengthen the structural aspect of your skin through the increased production of collagen and elastin fibers. Lactic acid is also the gentler of Alpha-Hydroxyl acids, having the added effect of moisturizing skin.
If you don’t go into the sun frequently, apply the serum twice daily. However, resort to using it just at night if your work involves mild sun exposure. Apply a thin layer of the serum on the area which needs treatment. Afterwards, rub it gently to make sure your skin has absorbed the serum.
While the usage process might seem simple, you’ll have to take caution. Since hydroquinone is known for lightening your skin indiscriminately, only apply the serum on those areas which need treatment. Once you’ve used the serum for 7-8 weeks, results should be evident. Some more resistant skin types can take longer to see results.
